Press release (edited): The Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights will make the festive season merry and bright with its new ticketed event Deck the Falls Holiday Walking Tour. The tour includes stops at thirteen local venues, five of which have been transformed by celebrity interior designers.

Held over two weekends in December (the 2nd and the 9th), the tour can be enjoyed at a leisurely walking pace, or by hopping on and off a WEGO bus.

Celebrity interior designers include Jo Alcorn, Christine Dovey, Janette Ewen, Nicholas Rosaci and Kasia Waloszczyk. 

“It was a real treat to make Table Rock Welcome Centre into an inviting, winter wonderland for the holiday season. And getting to work with tomorrow’s designers is always exciting,” says Jo Alcorn.

In addition to the five celebrity-designed stops, five venues have been created by Humber College Interior Decorating students, each of whom was paired with a designer. These talented young up-and-coming designers will compete for aBest Decorated Lobby award.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the students to experience working with professionals and celebrities alike” Says Susan Topping.

Deck the Falls Holiday Walking Tour participants will visit 13 locations, where they’ll be treated to stunning holiday décor and attractions, such as seasonal beverages at the Hilton, Old Stone Inn and Marriott, culinary sampling at the R5 Lounge in the Fallsview Casino, and frozen maple syrup at the Holiday Inn. The tour ticket includes Incline Railway passes at Table Rock, Christmas crafting at the Oakes Hotel, a pair of commemorative Deck the Falls mittens and more!

Participants can vote on their favourite lobby décor using the Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights mobile app, for a chance to win a Niagara Falls Package, which includes complimentary one night accommodation, dining and attractions for two.

The Deck the Falls Holiday Walking Tour runs Friday, December 2 to Sunday, December 4 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday, December 9 to Sunday, December 11 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. To purchase tickets please visitWFOL.com.
