“WinterFest” debuts at Canada’s Wonderland

I feel like I’ve been waiting for this moment since I was a kid — the announcement that Canada’s Wonderland is transforming into an immersive holiday experience for the first time EVER!

Starting November 22, the park will open its gates, on select dates until December 31st, to reveal a magical winter wonderland featuring holiday entertainment, live shows, lights, decor and ice skating all along the fountains at the base of the iconic mountain. Can we say YAY!!!

Guests can wander along paths lit with more than five-million holiday lights and can snap Instagrammable pictures alongside one of the three 15-meter high Christmas trees. They’re going to have a nightly tree lighting ceremony (cue the holiday proposals), strolling performers and select family rides.

In all, WinterFest will feature more than 30 holiday attractions. Some of the live entertainment includes:
• Tinker’s Toy Factory: This upbeat musical tells the story of Tinker the elf, who has to deal with some sudden changes in Santa’s Workshop that put his beloved old-fashioned toy-making in jeopardy.
• Cool Yule Christmas: This high-energy, fun-filled show covers all your favourite Christmas pop songs.
• What the Dickens?!: a twist on the holiday classic ‘A Christmas Carol’.
• The Mistletones: a bubbly trio performs classic Christmas tunes reminiscent of the 1950s.
• A PEANUTSTM Guide to Christmas: Join Charlie Brown and the gang in this enjoyable sing-along celebrating the most wonderful time of the year!
