Y’all know how much I love online shopping and scoring deals. As a busy mom to three boys, I honestly don’t have much choice — I need a solid one-stop-shop for everyone/everything. Sears Canada recently revamped their website and underwent big change as part of their #wevechanged campaign. Part of this exciting transformation is a division called The Cut @ Sears, which offers brand name decor and fashion for 30-60% off the retail price (sections are clearly marked in all of the stores so you can’t miss it and it’s also online).
As a nostalgic Sears Canada fan (come on, who doesn’t remember the smell and feel of the classic Sears Wishbook), I was excited to join some of my favourite industry influencers on the catwalk to kick off their big launch, in downtown Toronto. The big show took place in a Pop-Up shop (located near Queen St. West and Spadina), which is designed to bring the new Sears experience into the heart of Toronto. Here’s a shot from the end of the runway…
I chose this layered look because when it comes to travel and motherhood I never know what I’m going to need. I wanted to be in my element on the runway and showcase my love of versatile, mom-friendly, business-friendly outfits.
I adore this Philosophy knit crop top (especially the slate colour) and instead of a tank, I paired it with a breezy blouse. Believe it or not, these distressed, white skinny jeans cost less than $30 and are constructed very well (no visible pockets or underwear). I couldn’t believe my luck when they fit so perfectly.
It’s easy to shop for these new, designer pieces at Sears Canada because they’ve put a lot of work into making The Cut sections visible and chic. You’ll see kids, menswear, women’s, footwear, home decor and accessories (I saw Tom Ford sunglasses and a vintage Chloe wallet FYI). It’s also easily identified on their website for those who aren’t close to a store. New items are added every week to keep shoppers engaged.
It’s refreshing to see a brand take consumers’ needs seriously — and do everything they can to offer up what we want. It’s now easier than ever to style the family and outfit everyone for your next vacation (their camping supplies are awesome).
Here are a few other looks I put together featuring big brands from Sears Canada:
Have you ever smelled something that takes you back to your childhood? Or, perhaps tasted something that flashes you back to one of your favorite life moments?
Nostalgia is a powerful, emotional force — and one that’s behind my loyalty to Sears Canada. I can’t imagine a world of family shopping without the renowned retailer.
