Are you thinking of visiting Great Wolf Lodge in the fall?  Did you know that the popular resort tailors their schedules to tie in with major themes and holidays?

We did not!  Until now…

The family-focused resort is now offering an action-packed schedule from Oct 12 – Oct 31st.  The best part is that it’s all Halloween themed.

This is a great way to get more mileage out of the costumes you’ve made or purchased, leading up to the big night.

Essentially, there’s a daily lodge schedule with special Halloween attractions and events.

For example, there’s pumpkin carving in the Cub Club, costume dance parties, a haunted house area, trick-o-treating around the lodge (in costume) and so on.

The trick-o-treating is awesome because the kids get dressed up and visit stations around GWL.  At each stop, there’s some sort of activity (like pin the wolf ears on the skeleton, feed the monster, ring toss etc).  So before any child gets a treat, they’re actually participating in a game or activity.  We love this idea!

A lot of families messaged us about this event after seeing it on our social media because they weren’t sure what took place.  Trust us, it’s super fun and well worth it.  The kids loved it!

The same activities happen each day so if you miss one on the first day, you can do the next and so on.  Some families we spoke with do this as their annual trip because the room rates are lower than during peak season yet it’s still super fun and action-packed.

GWL Niagara was sold out when we are there so waiting last minute to book might not be an option.

So if your family is big into Halloween, you might want to check this out for next year.
